Taste of songdo

About

As the Founder and Leader of Taste of Songdo, I created a school-based culinary service initiative that brings students together through Korean food and community service. One of its main activities has been organizing large-scale kimchi-making drives, through which more than 1.2 tons of kimchi have been donated to the National Food Bank.

I also organized and delivered seven presentations and hands-on cooking workshops for students, faculty, and guests, using food as a way to share Korean culinary traditions. The initiative was recognized with the National Prime Minister Award, selected from more than 100 applicants for its leadership, cultural impact, and community service.

Beyond school activities, I designed and marketed a traditional Korean spoon-and-chopsticks set through a crowdfunding campaign focused on preserving Korea’s culinary heritage. The campaign raised approximately $2,000, which was donated.
