This independent research explored the history and cultural significance of instant ramen, focusing on how its development and global spread were shaped by historical and political contexts. I examined the role of postwar diplomacy among China, Korea, and the United States, considering how these relationships intersected with changing food cultures.

The research also connected food with broader themes of geopolitics and postwar industrialization, tracing how instant ramen developed beyond a convenient food product into a reflection of social and historical change. The completed research was submitted to The Concord Review.
